Before his debut, j-hope was part of underground street dance team "NEURON", where he earned many prizes and performed frequently during promotions. j-hope had originaly auditioned for JYP Entertainment, but was turned down before finally taken on as a trainee for BigHit.
He wrote and produced a lot of songs for BTS. His first solo song is '1VERSE' released in 2015.
