Why AB?

I was a new ARMY (2017) barely in the fandom for 5-6 months when I was messaged by Hope to join AB as a voting member.

After an exhausting Korean awards voting season I stayed as a leader for AB.

I would message Hope about things I thought we needed to do, I am very sure she was getting fed up with me at this point 😂 She asked me to join the admin team. What was I thinking 🤔 I was a mum, wife and worked full time, how was I going to find time to do all this!

But as the longer I stayed the longer I felt motherly towards EVERYONE in AB young or old! I worry/fret/protect/love each one of you as a mother does.

AB gave me a 2nd Family! I found some one who is like my big sister (Nancy). I found friends with whom I now have a bond that has me having my 1st girls holiday (Hope, Erika & Yoko) I cannot wait to spend time with you girls (without tube traveling or concert queuing!)

Everyone in AB means the world to me.

But lately it’s been hard on me seeing some leaving. I know some of them have had to leave because studying is and always should be the most important thing they should be focusing on. In my mind it’s like my own child has gone to uni, I feel proud but lost all at the same time and it cuts deep into my heart.

For others they have personal issues and again as a mother I just want to take those worries, put them in a drawer and never let them back to you!

So you see to me AB is my family! I will never feel anything but love for each and every one of you. Whether you have been with us for 5 minutes or 5 years you are all under my watch and I will always have a place in me heart for you.

Members - thank you for being with us. If you keep doing what you set out to do when you joined us it makes the leaders jobs easy! Help them by doing your job and that makes me happy. And if you have an issue with anything speak up

Leaders - thank you also for being with us and for being leaders. You do an amazing job and make it easy for the admins to do theirs. But please stop being so soft sometime! Occasionally you have to be firm and that’s not just with members but others leaders or admins!

Admins - thank you for being here too! You keep AB rolling along with all the necessary things we need to do and now that’s a lot! Don’t forget to have time for yourselves and also if you have any issues talk to whomever you need to.

Main Admins - Thank you for inviting me and allowing me to be a part of this family. I know it was not how you expected the base to go and now we are one of the top trusted bases we have that much more pressure! But as long as we are together we will make it through. You girls even though are younger somehow manage to keep me centered after a good rant and chat. I thought about it and I realized we are like the musketeers ‘All for one & one for all!’
